The Derby City NSCIA Newsletter is the Monthly publication of Derby City NSCIA, which is mailed to every Derby City NSCIA member. Every Newsletter is filled with issue-driven articles, and news of interest to the SCI Community and the larger disability community. A dear friend and spinal cord advocate recently passed away. Buddy Lawson was a founding member of the Chapter, and laid the ground work for all that we have accomplished thus far. He will be sorely missed, but never forgotten, as we continue to carry on his vision of support within the spinal cord community.
The chapter will not have a meeting in November. Our Christmas party will be held December 20 @ 6:00 in the Highland Court Apartments. Details will be provided in next month’s issue.

Due to a weather-related cancelation of last month’s meeting, March’s meeting will be held at Frazier Rehab Institute; 220 Abraham Flexner Way; Louisville, in the 10th floor dining room. Dr. Susie Harkema and Karey McDowell will discuss an opportunity for individuals to participate in a study group for the Community Fitness and Wellness Program.
