Paws with Purpose is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with disabilities by providing professionally trained, highly skilled service dogs and continued support throughout the partnership to ensure successful, long-term relationships.

Life with a purpose is a purpose for life.

Living with a disability can create many day-to-day challenges, often leaving some individuals wondering about their purpose in life. Together, with the help of a service dog, reaching those dreams of achievement can become a reality - giving them a new purpose for life. These highly trained dogs not only help to give individuals the ability to be more independent, and break down social barriers, they often give their partners back what's most important - their dignity.

Together, we can fulfill old dreams and create new dreams for the future, giving lives what we all need, a "purpose."

What purpose do our dogs serve?

• Service Dogs partnered with individuals with limited mobility can perform many day-to-day tasks such as retrieving dropped objects, opening doors, reaching tall counters, turning lights off and on, and pulling manual wheelchairs.
• Signal Dogs partnered with individuals who are hearing impaired can alert to a crying baby, a knock at the door, or the ring of a telephone.
• Facility Dogs working with professionals can help improve the health, emotional well-being and quality of life for individuals at a nursing home, rehabilitation center, special needs classroom, or other programs where interaction with a dog is beneficial to the healing process.

Assisted Service Dogs are provided to children with disabilities and adults with developmental disabilities that would require the assistance of a third party.

These highly skilled dogs not only provide assistance, they also provide constant companionship and unconditional love to those they serve.
